Building Faculty Web at Telkom University

In accordance with the decree issued by Telkom University, that all campus faculty websites must follow the rules for making the official website of Telkom University. This is done to provide convenience to stakeholders, especially in terms of information shared with them. To build the faculty website, it is hoped that the content delivered will meet the minimum standards in accordance with the decree issued regarding content standardization. but the campus does not rule out the possibility if the information submitted is more than contained in the SK document. Therefore, we have provided examples of faculty’s web displays that are in accordance with existing content standards to be used as a reference for later content that can be filled in accordance with the needs of each faculty in building faculty web at Telkom University


Initial Settings

  • Make sure the appropriate (Education) theme is installed. the theme can be downloaded at the website wp-repo.telkomuniversity.ac.id
  • Then, make sure the necessary plugins are also installed (manually found in the Documentation folder) and are all activated (for the Visual Composer plugin, you can make a request to the Sisfo Directorate via ticketing or e-memo)
  • Adjust the following settings on the Theme Option Dashboard menu> Plugin Settings, then click Save Changes
  • Then create new pages (in the Admin Dashboard> Pages> New Page), as needed on the standard content menu.
  • Also do settings hompage (after the Home page is created) so that the main page that appears as expected by accessing the Settings menu> Reading, then navigate as the following settings
  • Then on the main page (landing page), use the following settings at the bottom of the Page EditorThis image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image-e1557287079258.png
  • For the main page / Homepage, leave this blank for the Header Image
    • Then click the icon belowThis image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image-2-1024x81.pngThen add the following css for a better look especially on the homepage

    • For pages other than Homepage, landscape images can be added to be the header image on the page
  • or you can add the following script so that every time you make a new post, do not interfere with the overlapping titles and logos¬†
    • first enter the Appearance menu -> Customize then select the Additional CSS menu

    • Then add the following css for a better look especially on the homepage

Building Web Pages

Furthermore, colleagues can copy the script at the link below in accordance with the page that we have specified. to add the script, make sure the Page Editor mode is in the Backend Editor position. If not, click on the section until the Backend Editor position (contained in the section before the page title)

After that, to edit based on the appearance that will appear when published can change the editor’s view mode back to Classic Mode

After everything is ready, please fill in / replace (text and image) the contents of the previous one with the new one that suits what you need
